cPanel Metrics

Metrics involves diving into the traffic that is coming to your website. Most people are familiar with Google Analytics for obtaining traffic data. cPanel provides a number of tools to view statistics on all kinds of information.

Above we see the small portion of the Awstats page. The page goes on forever with all kinds of details. Here we see data for a brand new site only days old but getting some traffic. If you look at the May 2021 line in the month column you’ll see there have been 44 unique visitors, number of visits, how many pages have been viewed and more.

You can find out the exact country, IP address, operating system web browser, search terms and on and on. It’s really fascinating to see who is checking out what you offer.
